The aim of this course is to help students of the Special Diploma in STEM Education develop the understandings of the concepts and processes pertaining to the issue of integration between science, mathematics, engineering and technology.

This broad aim is to be achieved by discussing and clarifying the philosophy, nature, significance and educational value of the major basic and applied disciplines and how they complement and integrate with each other in a variety of approaches.  Global trends in STEM education will be viewed and analyzed.  This Module also aims to provide teachers with authentic assessment techniques and design appropriate assessment tools to evaluate different STEM outcomes.
